Interesting data on li-ion charge voltage vs. life cycles

Some other info based around that document:
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keywords=powerstream+voltage+lithium+charge

That data only applies to that particular coin cell.

The table isn't far off the rule of thumb that every 200mv undercharge = a doubling of life for the battery.

That said, these days, the concern is more about shelf life than cycle life for EV applications.

a few questions about those tests .. ( yea, i know , i am a skeptic ! )
1) i didnt see how /where they defined " cycle life" ? ..(i assume it was the usual reduced to 80% total capacity ?) but no test info.
2) charge method..quote
"Charging was done with a lab power supply, the voltage was set and the battery connected without regard for current limit."
which seems a pretty uncontrolled charge method for this type of test, if you accept charge rate can affect cycle life.
