Thank guys for the praise and input. I sent the motor mount files to a client " that owes me a few favors" and get his main vendor to laser cut them for me " on the cuff"... But have heard nothing back, so i might just pull out my plasma torch and then rough them out.
Thumb can tire out the thumb and be jumpy in responsiveness.
Half twist lets you rest a part of your hand and it doesn't tend to get tired.
Full twist doesn't let you rest your hand on it, any resting can lead to unintended acceleration when cornering etc.. probably my least favorite type.
I just use the cruise control option on my Baserunner controller, so never have to rest at wide open throttle. Just blip it two seconds, then it locks on.
Exception being stop lights. At stop lights I hold it at WOT with the brake feathered to disable the motor, then let go of the brake when the light turns green. Gets you across the intersection and back to cruising speed faster than having to crank a throttle when the light changes.
