Is this the same KnightMB that sold us out?

Likely, really, considering League of Legends has finally lost its lustre and I'm not liable to be playing much anymore. Fun fact: Being really, really (top ~0.4%) good at a competitive, team-centric video game sucks when you're forced into an appropriate skill bracket. NO FUN ALLOWED; TRYHARDING ONLY; META TEAM COMP; FINAL DESTINATION.

ever got into Second Life? Not exactly a game but I believe there's a way to play games within the environment. Been wanting to try it out but too many pet projects at the moment

ah found it

Can't say I ever did. Anything that could be called comparable to Sims I tend to "meh" over. No idea how people get so involved.

Also last I heard it's overrun with furries. Could be wrong, though.

Either way, I've got plenty to deal with right now. But I can't say I'll be wanting for electronic entertainment, despite little to no LoL'ing. Damn you, Valve. Damn you and your sales to hell.

The News story about Michael Brown and his electric bicycle was the first video on youtube to break 100k views. And in that video news story they give reference to his website endless sphere for more info on electric bicycles.

If you really are interested in whether he'll get any money out of all the bitcoin, or in the bitcoin world at all, you'll want to read this. A lot has been developing in just over 24 hours. Thanks to messageboards, you get to see the info as it develops and is distorted.

And let's not forget the hack that occured last Friday.

Nothing like a misplaced misunderstanding of financial systems and the wrongful equivocation of laissez-faire economics with freedom and democracy. It seems bitcoin followers have been just as corrupted by free market theorists as economists and fiscal policy makers.

Speculation only leads to long term problems and economic ruin. Financial markets have had a huge role to play in the world's current and soon-to-be-much-worse economic plight.

Thought that you guys might be interested in this turn of events. It appears that "your" KnightMB is being investigated for the Romney tax return ransom attempt.

Here's the story.

http://www.thedaily.com/article/2012/11/09/110912-news-romney-tax-raid/

The proof that it's "your" KnightMB is in the list of items seized he's put up on the website he's opened to solicit donations.

http://mbdonationfund.com/images/documents/items_seized_list.pdf

Control # 2 lists a PayPal receipt with the email address knightmb@endless-sphere.com.

You might find his donation website amusing.

I am a self-employed wireless Internet service provider and web hosting/designed in Franklin, TN barely scratching out a living for my young family.

In June this year, he posted on the Bitcointalk forums that he'd lost/given away the 371,000 BTC he'd "acquired" from his previous employer for $5,000.

The only thing I have left is old screenshots and empty wallet files now.

It seems like KnightMB may have finally bitten off more than he can chew, which will probably delight more than a couple of people including his former employers.

Yep.

Oh this is pure sex!

omfg - is that donation page a hoax? Tell me it is a hoax? It has to be a hoax? Mr. Durden.. did you make that

This has totally made my week. I have been trying to learn how to let go of grudges and negative feelings... and I have always believed that what goes around comes around... and this development brings peace to my troubled soul. That mad did a bad thing by selling this place down the river. A lot of people got hurt (Trevor and Justin to name two) and a lot of good pictures and information was lost.

It is a shame that I had to have a 101.5 fever for a week to find time to stumble onto this gem.

Interesting afternoon read, sorry to ask the question but my head is ticking now and would like to know where the 371,000 bitcoins came from in the first place ??and how would you not know you had them or there potential value ??? from what i have read it takes a lot and lot's of knowledge to even gain 1....

Still disappointed with the behavior I see in this topic. Everyone should be ashamed of this. For those that chose not to participate in this trash topic, thanks. For those of you here posting the usual garbage, it reflects poorly on the community here. It also reflects poorly on your character to those with snarly responses. Peace Out.

We don't rewrite history around here. The facts stay... and the motive can be speculated on.

Quite ironic for you, of all people, to mention character - is that a line you learned when you were interrogated by the secret service for crimes against the USA?

While you are have been able to lie convincingly enough to keep your repeated misdeeds from landing you in prison, scandal follows you around like a bad smell, and nobody is fooled. Kharma's a bitch though, one day you are going to run a scam you can't lie your way out of, to a criminal entity who will act on the bad smell alone...

The only thing that is disappointing here is that you have zero shame.
I have a record of everything that happened during August 2011 after you sold us off to Trevor. I can drag it up if you want to continue to pretend that you deserve a shred of sympathy. You will always be this forum's punching bag. Stop posting and stop reading if you don't like it. We are not going to forget.

The character of the forum is clearly displayed as it allows your user id to remain active. Ponder that for a while and tell me anywhere else such a person would still have an active user id...

In the meantime the value of bitcoins is skyrocketing, and recently someone bought a $100,000 tesla S with less than 100 bit coins.

http://money.cnn.com/2013/12/06/autos/tesla-bitcoin/index.html?source=cnn_bin

I wonder if knightmb is still one of the largest holders of bitcoins...

sorry you missed it but the bottom fell outa the bitcoin racket yesterday. it had traded up over $1200 following the rally caused by the US congress panel that did not outlaw it but thursday the bank of china said it would not accept it and Baidu has refused to allow it as payment so it dropped into the $800's thursday and yesterday.

The guy owned 371,000 bit coins bought at a time when they could be had for less than a dollar. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=6825.0

I dont think it really matters for him if bitcoin falls from 1200 to 800 a piece....

371,000 x 800 = $296,800,000 ....a lot of teslas.

I wonder if he still held onto his bitcoin stash or lost it along the way.

$885 today. fidelity is gonna allow people to put bitcoins in the form of an investment trust in their IRA if it is self directed.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Fidelity has partnered with SecondMarket’s Bitcoin Investment Trust to allow its clients to save for their retirement by putting the virtual currency in self-directed IRAs.

“If you are a Fidelity client, you can now invest in the Bitcoin Investment Trust through an IRA,” said Barry Silbert, chief executive of SecondMarket, in an interview.

The Bitcoin Investment Trust is an open-ended trust that launched in late September and only invests in the virtual currency. The trust, which is only open to accredited investors, had $62.6 million in assets under management as of Tuesday.

MarketWatch previously reported that SecondMarket had teamed up with self-directed IRA providers PENSCO, Entrust and Equity Institutional to allow investors to save for retirement with bitcoin. Fidelity is the largest and most well-known company that SecondMarket has teamed up with for this, Silbert said, adding that he hopes to add a few more providers soon.

An emailed request for comment from Fidelity wasn’t immediately returned.

Bitcoin has become a hot topic of late as its price has skyrocketed, attracting the attention of venture capitalists, regulators and central bankers. Unlike currencies such as the U.S. dollar and the Japanese yen, bitcoin doesn’t have a central bank. Instead, the virtual currency is created through a process called mining, in which a computer solves a cryptographic problem.

Ah, specie, its been more than 100 years. I wonder if Bitcoin will succeed at starting a major recession as the 'River Dollar' did. Only once has alternate currency launched the U.S. into civil war, but its been almost 150 years since that one ended, maybe people are ready.

Yeah I think this could really take off. But on another note I can't even buy any...... I have tried a few things but the only place need by is some bugger asking 1400 a coin.

Read a couple days ago, some dude, might have been a Brit, had a bunch of bitcoins, now worth MILLIONS, loaded onto a hard drive and stashed. Recently, he cleaned up some and THREW OUT that hard drive.Took a few days to realize what he had done, so, he went to the landfill, that covers MANY acres, and about cried.
