Julian Assange Pardon?

Your post is mostly accurate and insightful, but there's this:

and by generally refusing to support issues like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, a UBI or significant stimulus funding, and a living wage. Modern Democrats are to the right of economically and more authoritarian than the Reagan-era GOP, even as the American people themselves have moved so significantly to the left since then that Socialism is no longer a dirty word in this country.
I'm only a Biden fan to the extent that Trump is the sole alternative. I favored half a dozen other candidates over Biden in the primaries. But while he's not for medicare for all, Obamacare 2.0 is close enough for now.. not worth splitting hairs over. Biden is whole-hog for the Green New Deal and intends to make climate chg high priority with aggressive goals. Biden also favors a living wage IIRC. He's not as full-throated vocal as Bernie about it, but we shouldn't ignore Bernie's poorly paid workers either.

IIRC Biden had some criticisms of the Green New Deal during the campaign. Perhaps that's what motivated your comment. But now that he's in, he intends to commit to the Green New Deal. Perhaps that was too risky to embrace before the election.
