Hi there,

My name is Philip, living in Ireland and

I have purchased a Kawasaki 100cc cafe racer converted motorbike and since stripped it and bought
- qs hub motor (8kW 17in)
- kelly programmable controller 72101
- rear disk brake

I am planning to buy a ready built lithium ion 50 Ah battery to power the system (any information on good places to purchase this?)

I would like to order all the parts needed to get the bike running this week so that when I return home to finish the build in two weeks time I can finish it off or at least get it running. I was wondering if someone might be able to give me a list of the parts (obvious and unforeseen) that I will need? It would be massively appreciated. (I will be able to machine my own torque arm I believe)

The main worry is the electrical wiring right now

Don't seem to be able to attach photos here but can provide them if neccesary.

Thank you!

Is Jozzer still dealing in EV parts? He's in the south of England, but was very active here about 8 or 9 years ago.

Would love to know how this goes, I'm working on similar project with a NINJA 500r, debating on QSmotor 17 * 6 inch size.
I'm curious to know top speeds possibly depending on the voltage. would it be better than a chain drive, I posted a thread about it... but I came here hoping for more info..Hopefully someone on this forum tested the motor it and has notes on it..

Enjoy it.

Hub drives are fun but the unsprung weight can make for a bumpy ride. (I have a 13" 8kW QS.

This controller is a bit underpowered compared to your motor choice.
You could have gone for a much more powerful one, the 8KW QS motors can take a beating.

Your controller is less powerful than the one I'm using on my 3KW QS motor (500A phase, 200A battery).
