KD26E display malfunction

Pressing the power button for 2 seconds causes all LEDs to blink twice. The "low" LED will remain lit (constant) and the lowest segment of the battery meter will blink as long as the button is pressed. However, all LEDs goes dark after the power button is released.

KD26E displays from the bike company (Ancheer) are hard to find, so I tried a G20 instead. The G20 blinks twice when it is powered up, but the only the throttle makes the motor spin. PAS is not responsive. Pressing the plus and minus buttons cause the MODE LEDs corresponding to Low Mid or High to change, but has no effect on maximum speed.

Looking for anything that will get this bike working with PAS.

Are your symptoms the same as the OP? His symptoms closely match what happens if the display has somehow been set for a 48v battery, while the actual battery is 36v. There are a few YouTube videos regarding changing the setting back. Displays that are used a different models/manufacturers of e-bikes may not be identical, and not purchasing from the same company as your ebike may result in mismatched firmware, and errors, so you need to decide whether it’s worth the gamble.
