For those who do not know, I am a KMX trike dealer. I was thinking, with the group buy for Astro motors accumulating orders, I thought it would be good to offer a KMX trike group buy, or at least a sale on individual KMX trikes. I have shipped a few at a discount to some friends already, so I thought I would extend that discount to you guys. So, here is what I am thinking;
I can offer 10% off any trike. There is not a huge markup on these things, but enough to offer 10% and still make the shipping time worth my while.
The most popular trike is the Typhoon. The Tornado is popular too, but it come with plastic wheels which are not as strong as the spoked Typhoon wheels. So, I normally recommend the Typhoon.
Anyway, there is normally $60 in shipping charges that apply to each KMX trike ordered from KMX directly. But, you would pay that anyway unless you live near a KMX dealer. Most shipping for these newer trikes (smaller box than the older ones) is about $60 from me to teh customer as well. So, a Typhoon is normally $1,100 minus 10% (=$990), plus $60 shipping to the continental US would be $1,050 total. A $1,500 model would be $150 off, but still the same $60 shipping. See how that works?
Anyway, the KMX importer was sold out of trikes for a while, but I just got an email that they are in stock.
Anyone who wants a trike will paypal me (or give me a credit card number) and I will order their trike. KMX does NOT drop ship. So, unfortunately, the trike will ship to me, then I will ship to you. It is a little cumbersome, but it works OK.
I figure this thread can run for a few days while I compile orders, then they will be ordered and, once I recieve them, they will ship out to each customer.
