On Earth right now. That can change at any time, t
Hey Guys,

I wanted to let you know I have secured a KMX trike dealership. I will be ordering a few trikes shortly and converting them. To start with I will do a relatively simple RC conversion in the 4kw range. At the same time, I will also build a 12kw monster. I will also stock one or two totally stock trikes for resale as pedal-only units or to be converted per customer request.

The reason I am leaning in this direction is because mountain bike conversions are costly and very time consuming. Yes, I am building mountain bikes as I have time and a market for them. But, KMX trikes are SUPER easy to work with from a E-conversion perspective and are reasonably priced. So, I can have a quick turn around time to build an EV-KMX to sell and get some builds out the door while I plan more time consuming, super high-end mountain bike and recumbent conversions.

Also KMX is really easy to deal with as a company.

Lastly, VRDublove (with the E-Tech powered KMX trike) will be building some E-trikes as well. We will do our best to not step on each other's toes.

Anyway, expect a KMX build thread to begin shortly.

Matt

I'm nowhere near finishing my e-mtb yet but looking at this is giving me more ideas... dammit this site will send me broke lol!!!

I am getting excited about this too.

I spoke with KMX today at length about this. They are totally on-board with EV setup of their trikes. They basically told me "Anything to get product out there and get exposure is a good thing." They are very interested in EVs and have apparently been trying to apeal to that market anyway.

I am ordering 3 or 4 karts this week. :D

Oh, one will be a 12kw monster!

12kw... hmm, should be enough grunt for awsome wheelies drivetrain withstanding!

Wouldn't that be a sight to behold! :D

I ordered everything I need for the big trike build.

It will be a Typhoon trike running two Astro 3220 motors with two HV140 controllers and 1kwh of Lipo.

Should be a beast. :D

I will start a build thread when the trike arrives sometime next week.

As a recumbent two-wheeler myself, I love those KMX tadpole trikes
Throw some knobbies on the KMX and go raise some hell in the snow, mud for funk. This is going to be an interesting thread to watch, bad ideas (for my wallet) are starting now.

KMX trikes range from $400 for kids trikes up to $3,000 for the high end Venom adult trike.

The Typhoon I am starting with is $1,100. That Kart seems to be the best for the money.
