Kokam battery pack - resistor balancing wires

This is a Kokam battery pack, 37v 16Ah.
10s 3p (cells are SLPB776495)
3 packs of 10 cells.

If you look to the PCB you can see 3 groups of 10 resistor in series with the balancing wires.

The question: why Kokam use such resistor (is it resistor ?) ?

They are not the same, they are near the balancing plug output

I don't think they are resistors. Probably polyfuses used to protect against shorts on the balance leads.
