I would like to query the group about building a 24s1p @ 32aH Lithium-Ion "Kokam Style" battery pack with foil tab technology. I have searched google a little and found very little information...maybe my searches were not worded correctly.

My questions will start with technical questions about connecting tabs and I would take any advice on safety.

I suspect that the foil tab was "by design", and there is a best way to attach 2 tabs together to either make a series or parallel battery. I can imagine that one could solder the tabs together, clamp them together, etc. Does anyone know the factory intended way to attach the tabs together?
I can see that building a back to back series battery is much more dangerous than building a parallel pack where a short can not occur as easily. Has anyone got experience to offer?

Hi Phil,
there have been many threads on how best to build packs from the large pouch cells/ foil tabs.
Here are a couple of links to get you going.
