I popped A Kollmorgen motor to see what there was to do, to reverse the rotation. I bought A CCW motor off thE-bay.
I see 3 phase wires and 5 wires to the board, from searching I found that I *Maybe* would swap the black and red phase wires, and the A and C Hall wires. Is this correct?
Thanks for your Help!!
Sean

Yes, that should do it.
I've never actually done it, so there's a chance the phase wires don't correspond. If the the phasing gets mixed up, the motor won't start on it's own in from some positions and the current draw will be abnormally high, even at no load.

It would be best to test it initially with a very current limited supply (like 4A) If you do not have a suitable power supply, I'd suggest using a small fuse and test the motor at no load. I would also suggest measuring the no load current before and after.

If you get the swap correct, the motor current will be the same as before and the motor will always start from a dead stop.

Swapping the phases will alter the rotation if you have the halls correct, You can spend ages calculating the correnct halls to swap an easier method is try all 6 combinations. To limit the current put brake light bulbs in series with the phases. Only once have I got it right first time!

Gosh, it looks like it'll be easy.

I see to swap the black/white wires' positions.
Then the "a b c" halls should go to the "c b a" positions.

At any rate, the black to white switch is a no brainer 'cos the second picture shows that was done.

And of the three remaining wires, there are only five other possible orders.

Actually the picture shown he has already swapped all the wires I mentioned. He mentions this motor is swapped to CW rotation already and the wires are swapped just as I was asking if was correct.
If you look at the red and black big wires you'll note they have a larger shrink wrap connection. Where the white one is original.
Off to swap and test now!!
