Hey I ordered a 'sensorless' controller from ebike solution and it has arrived but comes equipped with hall sensor wires... anybody think it will work? Motor doesn't have hall sensors. Also there's 5 display wires, red black blue yellow green, can these work with the simple led display to change power mode? Thanks

KT controllers only work with KT control panel's.

AFAIK, KT do not make dual mode controllers, so that one probably won't work sensorless.

Although there are sensorless KT controllers, it can be difficult to get them to work with some motors, so I'd choose a different type of controller for sensorkess operation. The cheaper Chinese dual mode ones often work quite well, especially the ones with self-learning.

Ebike Solutions do sell dual mode KT controllers. Here is one of them. Although I don’t see the lower powered version like the OP has on their website.

The suffixes determine whether it is sine, square, sensored, uncensored or dual mode.

I wired it up today and it seems to work better than the previous cheap China one that just made the motor squeek under load... this one is a bit jerky but I can live with it, I've got a kt display on delivery. HOWEVER....
with both this one and the cheap generic sensored one I tried before, it makes no difference what combination of phase connections I tried! 1 combination made it run backwards, apart from that all the others were the same result! Does this mean they are both self learning controllers and ultimately no good?
