Usually they are laced with 1 cross, but then the spokes are heavily bent that I don't really like, because it strains the holes of the rim sideways, so maybe radial lacing is better in this respect.
I know Sheldon Brown's article in the topic ( http://sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html#radial ), but on the other hand, 20" wheels are usually laced radially.

What about a 24" wheel, have anyone tried it?

Thanks

I recently built a 16" wheel with 1 cross, after reading a tutorial by dogman. It was a little tougher, at times I was thinking of unlacing it, to do it radially. I have one 24" wheel, that was built by ebikekit, it wasn't radially, need to check when I get home.

Thanks, I searched for dogman's tutorial, is it what you mentioned? :

It will be better to go with 1x, I think.
And for my next wheel I'm going to use a moped rim, because they have angled eyelets. i should have started with that, but I'm just going through what more experienced guys already know :)
24" is not even that much smaller than 26" as I thought, so I can't expect much increase in acceleration...
