I saw this on the DIY electric car forums, 3.7V 43Ah Li-Polymer battery Cell. I'm wondering if anyone here has some info about them or some experience with the vendor. The only info I could find about them other than what's in the thread was a price of around $61 per cell.

Amazing! Does anybody know where one can purchase these? According to Jackhyq on the DIY electric car forum they are 9RMB per Ah, approx. $1.45 Canadian, or about $62.35 cdn per cell. The cycle durability is impressive, as is the power capacity, even at 10C!

If it lives up to its advertised claims, that's a decent battery for sure...

I'm trying to communicate with the guy that posted the thread on DIY. I'm curious to find out if those cells are as good as he and the testing says. It would be such a great way to have 4 kw in my scooter. Just 24 cells in series with a BMS. Nice and simple.

The ponilion.com website seems to be offline, but I did find some data that has been updated as recently as Nov 16, 2012
but apparently they also have a 1000A LiFePO4 cell !
≤0.8mΩ that weighs 15Kg
wow ??
LiFePO4 Battery (3.2V30Ah)

The LIPO they offer is for RC they say
with capacities upto 6000mah
10c~40c RC Battery

Well despite the error message I got back from the email I sent to this guy, he answered yesterday and is willing to sell very small quantities for just under $63 per cell. He asks for 30% up front and the rest of the money before shipping. I don't know what kind of payment he wants. I'll ask.

Awesome! May need to get one of these and test it. If you can get samples let me know!

I'd be happy to chip in, for someone well known to buy a couple of cells for testing ?

(and then 24more for 24s late on)

you may wanna verify the guys identity before you send him free money. if he will not give you a real name and address and phone# so you can do a credit check to see if he already has been involved in another battery rip off such as those we have here then maybe it is not what it seems.

He called me twice on the phone this morning, first time he left a message as I was not home and the second time I answered but like in the message before, I couldn't understand a word of what he was saying. :| Big language barrier here. Anyway, I couldn't make out his last name but apparently his first name is Jack :? And I have a phone number on call display but I can't call it back.
I will still chance it for a couple cells if he accepts Paypal.

It sounds like a very strong Asian accent when he tries to talk English and I can barely make out what he's saying. I don't understand most of it so I told him it might be better to communicate via email. His written English is better :)

So I keep exchanging emails with ''Jack'' about these cells. He asked $62.42 each and $97 shipping for two cells. I want just a couple cells that I would ask DoctorBass to test if he has the time. $97 for shipping just two cells seems steep to me. I explained to Jack that I don't need to have these in a week, I don't care if it takes two months, so he doesn't have to get the fast and expensive shipping. Anyway, I made him an offer and am waiting for his decision.

I would love to have large pouch lipos also, but I haven,t heard from Jack in a couple days. I made it very clear that if he could get paid with Paypal then he just had to sent me a money request and I would pay him. Nothing is happening yet. Geez gotta get them before we can test them. :?
