hey guys so i was trying to read up on the morgan lifecar but cant find lots of info on its motor, and in general u cant find a lot of info on many of the cool new electric stuff out there so i just wanted to post this thread like a sort of trivia, name the toy and try to name the motor, maybe someone here knows, being cutting edge these are probably super expensive so its just for curiosity and to keep up with the times

large brushless hubs on car wheels
bmw mini qed & lightning: hi-pa drive from protean & printed motor works
zap: apx
e-traction: buses

morgan lifecar: ? (think their only trick is using capacitators)
elektraflyer: ?
pipistrel taurus: ?

There are massive submarines, and I think even an Aircraft carrier that use BLDC motors.

It's also be an industry standard for various train traction motors for 30+ years, but they are tiny vs the marine applications.

biggest i know are for marine use. the ABB Azipod is available in sizes up to 30MW
and the Rolls-Royce/Alstom "Mermaid" electric propulsion pods are rolls 21.5 MW or about 39,000 HP.

these are large BLDC motors. the controllers used banks of thousands of parallel FETS on water cooled trays. really big stuff.
