Hello guys,

I bought two Leitner electric bikes from http://www.leitner.com.au/electric-bikes.html in February 2014, a folding one for my wife and a straight bar for myself. Came recommended by a friend who bought one in October 2013. We’ve been using them for weekend trips in our camper van and I’m also using it to commute to work, weather allowing. This company is Australian, not sure if they also ship overseas. Just to share that we’re really happy with them & can recommend.

The leitner ebikes were $949 each + courier delivery to our door down Mornington Peninsula. No drama with assembly, the manual was good: http://goo.gl/ykwmHB We love the bikes, they got Lithium batteries which can be charged anytime . Uphill good too, needs pedalling though but much easier than with normal bike :) . The reason we chose them after a lot of research is because they’re more or less fully equipped, with mudguards, chain guards, rear rack, front on rear lights which run off the battery and disk brakes. The only things we needed buy was a lock and I got some pannier bags for the rear bags for when I’m riding it to work. Great bikes for that price and the guy who runs it was helpful and friendly on the phone and has a german accent. They are heavier than my normal bike though, about 25 kg. When my mate bought the bike in 2013 they had small hard seats, now they've upgraded to a larger comfort seat from velo.

Hope this helps. can recommend. It’s a cheap buy, sturdy quality and not crazy expensive like gazelle and the likes which quoted us about $5,000 for two bikes!!

Cheers,
Gary
