Let me know your oppinion about these Chinese 18650 cells

Well you bought a pack based on price it seems. You got what you paid for. China cells, not graded quality cells. Put it back together and use due diligence to take care of it. Get the most you can from it.
No way to really know what cells they are unless you were to try to cut into one of the wrappers carefully or something and look for cell markings or branding. There are several good Chinese cell manufacturers that are well respected, and then there are a lot of unknown companies with hit or miss quality. Good companies like ATL, BAK, Lishen, HYB.

the pack and cells are supposed to be from Heter.
i would just like to have confirmed that the right capacity cells were put in the pack. then i got concerned about these cardbord-like wrappings. have just never seen something like this before. my expectation is it is negative regarding weight, moisture accumulation and heat transmission. it's also hard to imagine that the cells are cheaper than using a shrink tube covering.

the cardboard is actually better than shrinkwrap.
at severe high temp shrinkwrap melts exposing the can.leads to shorts,thermal runaway,and a violent failure.
takes much higher temps to destroy the cardboard and if that happens you already have a much bigger problem between your legs and should have been aware of it long ago.
still would be good to know who made the cells.

ok. so it's not uncommon to wrap them like that? just have never seen it before..
the pack - and i guess the cells too - is from heterbattery.com. claimed capacity was 2500mah.
first i try how it works to keep the 11kg in my backpack.. maybe later in the enduroebike frame or a trailer.

when rebuilding packs i save the sleeves and put them on the new cells.
important if the tool is at stall and the operator(not me)holds the trigger.
i have measured in excess of 100a in this condition.while it wont help with preventing damage it may delay an "oh shit!" event.

Here's two Bosch batteries that are supposedly identical, but you can see one has cardboard sleeves on selected cells. Different factories, or a later version? Who knows? But anyway, cardboard isn't too unusual, even on high end batteries.
