Hi
I need to build a simple lifepo4 battery for 24/36v 15-30ah battery. The motor is a my1016/8 and controller is limited to 20a.

I don't have a spot welder so I was looking at the various cells in AliExpress that use screw on terminals both in cylindrical and square shape. Reviews are very mixed.
Any suggestions for a battery and seller?
Thank you

I'd take a look at the Headway cells at http://batteryhookup.com ; more likely to get what is advertised there than aliexpress/etc., and they also carry the interconnect hardware for at least one of the sizes. They have a whole subsection just for the headway stuff.

For a 36v battery, you'll probably need a 12s (3.2v / cell nominal for LFP), and depending on how you choose to charge, monitor, and balance them, typical full charge is 3.4v to 3.6v per cell.

for 24v, 8s should work.

If you use the HW 10Ah cells, then 3p would get you 30Ah.

Probably any of the HW cells will do 20A easily enough.

That's a great place to start headways you can use the screw drops to put a meter on and a BMS or you can go straight to a Bluetooth BMS. All with just a crimping tool
