Its going to take some time for me to wrap my head around this hybrid idea.
I have been reading a few forums now on it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I ended up buying these........
a123 packs 12S8P 96cells - ANR26650M1A - High Power Lithium Ion
Nominal capacity and voltage 2.3 Ah, 3.3 V
Im configuring most likely into 72.6V 8Ah (22S4P) for my Lyen 18fet, but might consider 60V 10Ah or 48V 12Ah with a Greentime Controller for more range.
I got my eyes on this website too
http://osn.en.alibaba.com/productlist.html for my next pack. Confusing website, lots of overlap products.
So at 3.8V fully charged = 83.6V, so I buy a "20S - 72V - (84CV) - LiFePO4" charger?
Even tho im using 22, I got to look at voltage right.
Heres the spec sheet
http://wamtechnik.pl/files/specs/789.pdf
Charge them up to 3.8V(2.3Ah Capacity) and discharge to 2.75-3V (-2.1Ah) judging by the graph?
These cells are 30C = 70Acont, 50C = 120Amax-pulse, but the pack in 22S4P form, would deliver 280Acont (30C) and 480Amax (50C) on paper.
Doing the math am I correct in assuming the C-rate per cell I'd be using is
65Amax/4P = 16.25Amax per parallel string - 65A max set by my Cycle Analyst
16.25Amax/22S = 0.74Amax per cell in each series string
0.74A/70A x 30C = 0.32Cmax per cell
So with my 65A Lyen 18fet, and my CA to limit things, I believe my riding style will put me at around 32.5A average (Just to make it easy, thats 1/2 of 65A) and I will max it at 65A. So thats 0.16C(cont.) and 0.32C(max-pulse)
