Is it possible to ad a parallel block to 4 blocks in series the 4 blocks came in 2x 36v packs and were wired together 2x18 I had 3 packs but the third pack has a block with a bulging cell so I want to use the other block in parallel to add capacity is this possible where would I place it when finished I will use a single 20s bms thanks

I'm unsure exactly what you intend, but whatever the smallest capacity (amp-hours, Ah) and capability (amps, A) unit is that is in a series set of cells, packs, etc., will limit the entire pack to those limits.

So if you have 5 "blocks" of cells, all identical, you might as well only use 3 of them in series, since you get nothing from the other two without a 6th, other than more weight to carry around and volume to take up space.

Two 10s batteries? each composed of two 5s? so you want to make a 20s (72V) battery pack? The answer is no , you don't have enough good cells to parallel.
Later floyd
