lit motors c-1

I just typed in "lit motors" and scrolled down.

No worries, tho.

The proto looks awesome
Made in SF too
They r using Brennan's Monorail tech out of Ireland
Inertial forces causes it to lean into corners thats the trick (leans into distrurbance)
They have already tested on ice
Did you catch the enertrac dual stack hub motor?
The final version will have dual hubs good for 100+hp

I want one. Wouldn't pay $24K, but would pay $16K before credits. I never get tired of that video showing it being kicked and jerked sideways without falling on its side.

That or the Persu V3.

Today I rode in the X-Prize winning Edison2 electric version prototype car. So quiet. But it is five years out for production.

Luckily my e-moto is going strong for the current EV grin.

Tour of their lab/office/machine shop.

Lit Motors CEO Daniel Kim wants to reinvent the motorcycle as we know it today. His idea? To design and manufacture a fully enclosed, two-wheeled motorcycle that runs purely on electric. SmartPlanet gets an exclusive first look at the C1-concept vehicle and its patented gyroscopic stability technology that helps prevent it from tipping over.

What are the basic specs of the C-1? The C-1 will have a top speed of 100+ mph (160+ kph), 0-60 mph (0-100 kph) in <6 seconds, and a range of 200 miles (320 km) per charge. Dimensions: 800 lbs. (360 kg) curb weight, 112″ (2.8 m) long, 55″ (1.4 m) tall, 40″ (1 m) wide.
When will the C-1 be available? Our current target is to begin production in late 2014, with deliveries to follow soon after.

I stopped following them out of boredom a while ago but from what I remember, these guys and gals have been saying that production should start somewhere in 2014. It's the third quarter of 2015. They said at first the C1 would be around $12000. Now it's doubled at $24000. I wonder how many pre orders they got plus funding from different investors. All they have to show for is a couple prototypes? After what... two three years of talking about it. If they finally start production who knows when, and start selling those things, will they triple the original price to $36000 or even more? To me it looks like it will end up either as vaporware or just another toy for the rich to play around with on hot and sunny days near the Equator. Yeah I am fed up with these prototypes that amount to nothing or worse, something that is tagged with a ridiculously high price. End of rant with my nickel because Canadian pennies don't exist anymore and a Canadian nickel is worth two cents anyway.

 two, three years ?.....look at the start of this thread,...4 years ago, and they had the prototype and mock ups just the same for some time even before then !
The only thing that seems to have changed is the price !
I suspect it's another one of those clever ideas with nice design, good intentions, but no friggin idea on how to get it to market !
..not holding my breath on this .
