I'm familure with Lipo in general, and Lithium Cobalt specificly, although i've used LiMnCo before, its functionaly the same as pure LiCo, with only a small increase in weight.

But I've never seen or had experiance with Lithum Manganese (no cobalt)
How do they compare to other batteries? whats the life cycle of the cells, and how do they compare by weight?

Found in:
Makita & Bosch (Konion)
Ridgid & Milwaukee (Emoli or MoliCell)
CT Yardworks tools
Valence

Not as high energy density as LiCo, but stable as hell.
Purported about 1000 cycles lifespan.
Good amps with low sag, flat discharge.
Konions will self-balance (as per Doctorbass).

If you abuse the milwaulkees at about 8c for sustained time periods, like pwbset, you can expect 85% of original capacity at around 100 cycles. "Ordinary usage", though, seem to have a warranty for upto 1000 cycles with Milwaulkee so maybe they have that lifespan at 2c-4c(somewhere in there).

Limn have a higher energy density than LiFePO4 but most have a slightly lower power density, so the maximum C rate for discharge may be less.
Most do not use a BMS other than a whole pack LVC. During charge, they can tolerate a fair amount of overcharge without damage, which allows balancing without cell level monitoring. I suspect they might last longer with cell level monitoring.
