Hello I have been searching for a BMS for 2 months and have been getting the runaround like you wouldnt believe! Does anybody know where I might get a 24S BMS for a Headway LiFePo4 pack that is 72V 20Ah? The problem is that I want one that has a continuous discharge rate of 100Amps. Everyone either doesnt have anything in stock or tells me they are coming in 2 weeks but 2 months later they still haven`t come in. I dont understand why its such a hard to get item!

http://www.batteryspace.com is supposed to have a 100a 24-26s BMS available;
Im sure they order from china, so there has to be someone selling thoses BMSs there.

I asked them about that one and they said that it is discontinued because their is a problem with the pcm discharging at 100 Amps.

did you contact them? probably the description is wrong... they can make 24S 100A if you ask.

btw: i used 2 12S pieces and replaces the FETs. $40 for the boards and good for 100A now.
$289 is crazy.

I didnt call batspace because I live in Brazil.

I was using batspace as a reference only, price is about half in china...

http://www.ayaatech.com/shop/?type=list&classid=103

has some other designs that might be working out of the box.

not sure if you can call them at all.
try emailing.

the link is not working. but cheaper? i am still pissed chinese want $20 for a $5 part, no way anybody else is selling it cheaper.

the link is slow for me but its working...

its just a list of 24s bms´s without a price... you need to email for quotation... but im gessing it would be around 150 usd....

I was considering going with the best and building a goodrum BMS but when I tried going to tp packs to order the boards the website no longer works. Does anybody know where else I can order the pcb's from?

Listen, you don't necessarily need to have a BMS rated for 100a. In fact, you can use one rated for 10a if you want.

The trick is to NOT run battery current though the BMS. This is a frocking dumb idea anyways. It just cuts your efficiency down, while introducing higher prices and complexity.

You accomplish it different ways with different BMS, but the idea is to use a relay or something that runs off the BMS like the battery would. Use this relay to disconnect the pack, break the ignition line, or pull down the brake line.
This will take some hacking on your behalf, but it won't be all that hard at all.

Thanks for everyones advice, I ended up going with that one for 119 bucks. Hope it works good!
