Will I have trouble getting it insured and registered?

In California.

I got this bike:
Which I believe is possible to make road legal adding lights, horn, n mirror.

I had two beams welded to the underside of the frame which are used to hold the battery with cinch straps

For the rear brake it only uses an electric regen brake and not mechanical.

Can you refit the rear brake disc and use a hydraulic hand lever instead of the foot brake?

Don’t know if you’re asking if that’s generally possible. It’s possible.

I could do it if needed to get registered but don’t think that’s a requirement.

Look at Still big scooting in San Jose.
Does Your E-motorcycle have a VIN?
Was it a conversion from the off road gas motorcycle linked above?
Talking to CHP office might be the way to go or your local DMV office.
later floyd

It’s a conversion of the bike I linked. It has a vin and title/mco processing too.

I guess I’ll go to the dmv and see but fear there’s some workarounds I may be missing related to altered frames
