friends,

need a power supply with 48V power and 10A. Can I connect two power supplies Mean Well S-350-48 parallel?

Or is it best two power supplies Mean Well S-350-24 connected in series?

I have a DC Supply Mean Well S-350-48.

Mean Well S-350-48

Mean Well S-350-24

Sorry for not posting in the correct location, but if you can help me. I use it a RF amplifier.

Sorry my english

thank you

Wait for other opinions.. but personally i prefer in series..

MW in parallel are difficult as one does all the work while the 2nd one barely does unless the 1st is maxed out.. it's hard to match them to equally share the load.. and the fans will act up on you too.. pulsing and being a pain in the ass....

Exactly my experience on my first road trip: Qty-2 SP-320s in parallel and one S-350 in series; only one of the two in parallel did all the work, thus I was lugging around dead weight taking up valuable space. :x

That said, Meanwell does offer PSUs that can be paralleled by-design, and they use a separate interlink connection which allows the units to communicate (up to four). Specifically, I have been looking at the Meanwell RSP-2000-48 allows for load-sharing: I know it's a big box, though there are smaller units in the product line that might better suit your budget (providing you can afford it). But that's my take; the cheap Meanwells cannot be paralleled easily, if at all. :(

Simply buy two S-350-24 and put them in series. You'll get the right voltage, share the load evenly, and it'll be easily capable of 10A.
