Hi Jozzer
Good to see, I will be interested to listen to a motor with them fitted, the nylon ones will go eventually on all the high power Pumas, its well easy to change the gears though so even if you had to fit new ones every year I wouldnt care, the metal ones may be too noisy, did Mark get any Nylon ones? my Trek ones are well worn now and If I open the bike up from a standing start they spin like crazy and I go nowhere, its okay once i am moving and its testament to those gears and the motor really as its been like this for nearly a year and it still runs ok! ha ha.
Be worth trying the metal gears, i would surely give some a go, I need to replace the ones I have in the Trek with some new ones soon, I think I will just replace them with newer nylon ones, they are std metric gears that you can get from HPC here in the UK, just need to get them machined out and the bearings press fitted, which is no biggy.
Cheers for the post and if Mark wants a guinea pig to try the gears I will for sure! cheers
Knoxie
