Military Type Connectors?

I'm looking for a cool charger connector to replace those lame XLR as sometimes my customers use 10A chargers and also for the damn reason that we don't use 3 pins.

I want a military type 2 pin female panel connector that isn't too beefy and that can handle the usual 80-100VDC and up to 10A of constant current.
I really really like those metal screw caps for the panel side so this is a must!
It should be either black or olive green.

Checked dgkey but didn't find anything I want even though many times I don't search the right way in that jungle and people still send me links for what I searched even though I already searched there.

I like Deutsch myself, but that's all plastic I believe.

Look through the TE / AMP catalogs, I've seen the metal military spec stuff

very pricey though, unless you luck out on eBay

or roll the dice with cheap Chinese knockoffs

I bought stock of them. Build alot with them. Refitted (78) Million candlepower VSS-3 and VSS3a searchlights with them. They are expensive and gall like no tomorrow. Junk unless you are going into battle.

Good luck figuring those out economically. Or using them in something that doesnt look like a 1960-designed bulky box.


bahahah. Amphenol. I know the numbering system preeety good. Easy to decipher a pert number.

We paid 100$ each for the 24v 2pair lugs each.. so about 180$ per matching pair. lol. They still fail and blow up capacitors with surges on connections sometimes, silvered or not. Lol. Get hot an faulty.,.

Wanna buy one? I can have it out in a day or so,....got about 12 left. We are deep in the black on that purchase.

Purchase it all from Mouser or Digi. The little ones are about 30$ each and the larger current carrying ones are the expensive ones.

Yeah if you literally want to burn the retinas of oncoming traffic. Lol. They are also infrared capable.

For real they were from M60 tanks and Helicopters. Beam 5+ miles. Xenon and Carbon Arc. They would make a Duece an a Half struggle a little at idle. I got vids of them running on Yt. Shoot a beam as far as you can see. Then some. We were featured on https://www.candlepowerforums.com once. Some movie producer bought like ten.

Damn, I just came from the Amphenol catalog...
So much sexy stuff I don't need.

About prices, I know it isn't cheap but I worked with a company that bought super sexy and huge power connectors that are all aluminum looking huge and heavy and they were about $30 for one so mine should be maybe less since it's pretty small.
That one I mentioned was for about 60A constant current.

$15 for the socket, mouser has the cool cap with the chain for $5 but I can't find the fitting female cable connector!

P.S found out that the expensive part is what I'm missing which is about $30-40, but still, maybe just for me, profit wouldn't come out of it.
