Hi, my name is Ivan Golubic, I’m from Croatia. By profession I’m mechatronics technician, my projects have always been awarded on world exhibitions. I’m currently studying mechatronics at Polytechnic of Zagreb.
Let me introduce you my Electric Trike project.

Idea is to create a modern and eco-friendly vehicle, that contains some of the characteristics of a classic car.
The vehicle will be a mono-seat, but there will be enough space for your stuff (luggage, groceries, etc.). An electric motor with enough power for 65km/h (40mph) speed, will be powered by a LiFePo4 – 60V battery with a capacity of 20Ah, and you will be able to charge it via a solar panel. You will be able to drive your vehicle for at least 65km (40miles) and even more as it is able to charge while driving, through solar panel(s) and regenerative braking.
If you are unable to charge through solar energy for one reason or another, you can always resort to good old charging through a standard 220V outlet.

I think your small wheels are too twitchy. I wouldn't trade in my recumbent trike for your design. That's what you are competing with - the Catrikes and the HP Velotech Scorpions and the ICEs and Steintrikes and the like of the world, all of which make excellent motorized conversions with inexpensive ebike kits. Good luck.

I an impressed at how you assembled the test trike without welding.
Swapping the small front wheels for some larger bicycle wheels will require some chassis changes, but shouldn't be difficult.

Hi!

You have made a good Base but you need to improve it.

Put matched wheels all around to improve the look (everybody likes to ride something that pleasures the eyes), think of a possible mid drive alternative to allow use of bike cassette (it opens room for various customers and you lower center of gravity).

Raise the front camber, for a trike you want the lowest center of gravity possible and best stability in corner for most of trikes don't let you lean on sides.
Or try to make a lean capable trike ! Easiest way is raising front camber, hardest way will make you exclusive and ahead of many.

I also strongly suggest that you don't put solar panels as a single flat plane unless you wish to cover a part with an adapted form (I.e. a trunk or a luggage box).

Good luck for your work.

Hi there !

I haven't been here for a long time,
lot of things have changed on my project. I got some investors, and I'm working on
first "Mobile Vehicle" model: "Gmobile"
