Mongoose CB 24V450 ebike - Check the cabling tie downs

Hello I bought my Mongoose, Slapped the front wheel on it, charged it and went riding on it. Did that for the last couple of months. The other night I was riding along and it stopped working. Pedeled home and upon inspection found that the wires going up to the throttle had gotten loose enough so as to get rubbed by the tire. (See photos). If you own one of these things I would recommend adding a couple of tywraps to that cable run.

I also wonder if the tire is hitting the post when the shock absorber comprsses. I will focus on that after I get this fixed.

It most definately is a problem of the wheel hitting the frame. You can see a rubbing mark on the frame. I'd take it back to the shop and have then pay for the re-wring.

But what about the next time and the next time. looks like a design flaw.

Yeah, something is wrong. The space at rest (at least looking at the pictures) is way too close to the frame already. I have one exactly like this, and got two people on the front to compress those shocks as much as we could. Still had 2 inches of clearance when all the way compressed. I think the shocks are broken because it certainly should not be hitting the frame like that.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, if it's still in warranty, go for it. If not, just route the wires over the top instead of the underside if the wheel is still hitting the frame over bumps.

Well I think I see the problem. The fork is 180 out. My brakes are behind the fork. I see that yours appear to be in front... Like I said, I slapped a tire on it and went riding.
