Hi Mark, Miles

Yes it was cool was like Xmas for me! ha ha just imagine the opti bike, deecanios bike, the jozz bike! and that was just for starters, then there was all those high powered KMX and Clives bike, that was so fast it was scary! I am still buzzing from the meeting now! and it has fired up my interest even more! ha ha, I thought I was mad on this hobby but now I know I am! ha ha.

You must try and get a meet going in NYC, there doesnt seem to be many folks from NYC on here which is a shame, I know they have pretty strict laws in NYC about bike power but so do we! and it doesnt stop us  well fences do! ha ha

I am pretty sure that there will be another meeting soon as well, Vimeo also seems like a really nice alternative to Youtube for hosting, you can host in High Deff as well! and there is no time limit on what you post, really nice.

Glad you enjoyed

Knoxie

Great work Paul !!! THX !! 8) ( I'm watching this at work, laughing out loud with earphones on.. my co workers just don't understand the joys lol )

That Bob fellow.. he reminds me of a few guys i know.. skilled operators but no fear of breaking stuff either lmao.. ( perfect candidate for abuse testing ! )

The jozzbike looks like a hoot !!! potential project fot 09 for me to try and duplicate that..

Thanks again !!!

At work watching the video with headphones too while I start the day drinking my cup of hot chocolate. It's vids like this that get most us guys hooked into wanting to do more with our rides. Footage towing the van just cracks me up.

Very nice collection of e-vehicles guys. You had various KMX trikes, scooters, road bikes,..etc. The Jozz bike looks like a blast and so does the torquey 72v Clive bike. But I'm wondering what kind of range both bike have.

I like the interview comments closeups of each bike at the beginning where you guys are trying out each other's rides. Gives me an idea to get more of the same footage on our next E-bike ride here in Southern California. Last time at our meet most my vids were just of us riding http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=6569

Hi

Glad you all are liking it, it was so much fun to do and yes all the bikes were fantastic fun, Bob is young and fearless it so scary! he will try anything on a bike, if it survives the Bob test then anything will!

I love the Jozz bike and would do one If I had the room, Jozzbike was in a class of its own, I have to say though that Deecanios bike was simply the best of the e-bikes and that Includes the opti, the opti being excluded on its mega price tag, its still superb though, Clives bike was the quickest e-bike there but Deecanios bike handled better and looks more stealthy.

We must pay a big thanks to Jozz for letting us all in to his world! what a nice chap he is as well.

I would be happy to meet like this every week!

Cheers M8

Would have loved to do more video and it would have been cool to go on a longer ride and film that, must get a better camcorder and do some HD filming for the next meeting, the Vimeo website does HD footage and some of it looks amazing! Imagine all our bikes in HD they will be able to see all the cable ties and gaffer tape!

Great video thanks for sharing!

Vimeo does rock! A "720p" HD piece for my work that I did last winter... Vimeo is so much better than YouTube!

CHEERS :!:

It's so great to be able to actally see the bikes/trikes/wheelchairs, and their creators in action on their creations 8) Not to mention getting to hear what y'all sound like  BTW, to keep it family friendly, mind the #*@%kin' 'ell, to which an old friend of mine used to reply "I sure hope they do. I can't play a harp!" Keep up the good work, you're an inspiration to us all

Don

Hi

Yes I am glad its getting a few views! and apols for the swearing! that was Andy..bad boy! ha ha, I think its just his way, he from Dublin Ireland dont they say Feckin? :p well they do on Father Ted!

Its noticeable just how much weight makes a difference, Cam who was on the KMX was accelerating so much quicker than us, she must only weigh about 95lb, you can see this on the video when she it whizzing about just before we pull the van, how about that for an upgrade to your e-bike! lay off the doughnuts for more speed :)

Cheers

Knoxie

Thanks knoxie for taking time to share that event with us..

that encourage us to organise some meet like that too... or in my case, to put every video of Justin's visit here in Quebec... :) .. I just need to extract these video from my camera and to share them by youtube.. or vimeo...

That is a great idea to share that with us cause that create a great feeling even though if it exist a large distance from each of us! itMs like we feel closer to share our passion or hobby!
Doc

Some wore helmuts on the road, I think Knoxie's vid is a helmet cam?

Oh, Yeah,I saw that... but it didn't register... I guess I was more interested in the cam than the helmet.. My Homer Simpson D'oh Avatar is even more appropriate than usual today.

Hi

Yes I wore a helmet! the only time i didnt was the BMX pull, other than that had a lid on for every bike test, Hi Doc would love to see the footage of your meeting with Justin, esp if you can upload it in High Deff to vimeo, on the free account you can upload 1 high deff clip a week, for people with a lot of high deff content they charge but its worth it esp if you have quality content and you dont want it over compressed by Youtube, sure more people will watch it if its on Youtube, but you can post the same video to both giving people the option.

You can check the quality of some of the HD footage on video here http://www.vimeo.com/hd some of them really are amazing, there is an optibike clip on there in HD, there isnt too much E-bike stuff on there so it would be cool if we can get some more HD footage up there, I have been looking in to getting a HD cam corder for the next meeting.

Cheers

To all those who came to the Jozzbikes meet this autumn, who left the fancy tyre pump behind?
It's a yellow "Joe Blow"...like this one... http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDetails.asp?productID=6465

If it's not claimed soon it will end up getting used in the workshop:p

Ciao,

Steve

MUCH enjoyed. I'm a banned Vimeo member so I could not comment there,
but I am gonna sneak back in with a fake name in order to be able to leave comments for you there.

Here's what Vimeo did to me (this is the comic version of the two-video series):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChpV2yp10fM
(I am " VimeoiSin " )

Vimeo is great!....or was... now they charge for HD uploads...and the management is for shite.

But, Paul: to see your works at Vimeo: I can always enjoy watching them in good SD or HD quality.
Youtube remains a poor-resolution hosting site, but I get along great at youtube, and have many, legal accounts there.

At Vimeo: I had one account. They wiped it out, destroyed all my long-to-upload vids...some unique, irreplaceable.

Thanks for your showing of that great fun day, Paul!

lol, nooooo don't let bob use it, he is the breaker of all things bike :)
aaawwwwww my poor stinker :( a hatstand indeed!!! i need to get him home for some TLC

Hi Reid,

aye we had a great day down at steves on the coast, very sunny for the uk that day too, lots of fun.
Haven't seen knoxie around lately, my guess is he's working on something for next season :?:

Cheers,

D

Ah, Deecanio, I would give a left nut (as we say here) to have been there. "very sunny...." is the only sad part of the story.
I need or at least, crave now, the sunlight, I take sunny days for granted

You guys, plan for a Florida vacation someday? I've visited England and Scotland one time.....so it was fantastic (but not sunny except on a few days!). Ebikers make sunshine, at any rate. Wish I were there.

Paul: always wear your helmet  (just a ribbing, that!)
Like my cousin "Hartford Tommy", 'I never ride without h-a-a-a-aaaands'! OR helmet.

-Wished I could have been there. Damn.

Interesting you chose the movie "THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL" Reid...I have just uhm.."obtained"... a copy of the 2008 Remake of 'The Day the Earth Stood Still" Shall watch it over lunch today...How dare they ban you though Reid...:: flexes muscles and reaches for shotgun :: want me to "have a word" with whos in charge see i can't make them see things 'OUR" way hehehe :p

Kim

It was a Clash of the Tiny Titans, Kim....though truly I did not know there was any "clash" until I found all my content removed and my account closed.

So I registered anew, just so I might contact Blake Whitman, and wrote a meek letter of "wtf" to Blake Whitman.
I used my full name. Blake instantly answered with a "the hell with you" sort of response and closed that account before I could even PM him back.

Vimeo adverts for new members, to come feel the "love" and be part of the community.
It's a lie.
I had nothing but good, unique videos there, and hundreds of positive comments for other videos,
and had never made waves of any sort. I simply asked in CAPS "You told me to do a search to learn why your read counter goes fake-high-crazy....I wasted an HOUR in fruitless search time."

"You are plainly upset", wrote back, Blake Whitman, who, as it turned out, knew of the counter defect all along,
but could not be bothered, nor could the other two moderators: Dalas and Andrew, to tell this member of the bug.
I went to see my account: but it was gone, and all that I had was an empty page of "Videos by Reid Welch"; a curt "firing" of myself from Vimeo. Later, after the two VimeoiSin "get even" videos, going to the Reid Welch page resulted in seeing,
"S's videos" only. It was a comedy of "ooooooh, he's gonna get it from US." I got the message.
They got me, in result, as GORT. I am also famed for my work with theremins---just by chance.
So, two, chance, personal tie-ins to that famous movie.

It was heartbreaking for me: loss of dozens of unique HD videos from Vimeo.
Look up my first cousin, Drew Pearson? A fraud-exposing journalist. I never met him.
I realize, however I get a great deal of my anal-detail-truth blowhard personality from a great man.
And too, I just get...in trouble sometimes for "broadcasting" too very much. But that wasn't the cause for my ban from Vimeo.

I look at my own giant thread here, about a silly cruiser bike, one that any one of you would make complete in one afternoon--
and laugh at myself: how I DO go on and on and on....

Yes, all, go join Vimeo, but DO take care to NEVER cap a word (no html there) or you won't get much love in reply.
And don't get emotionally attached to your Vimeo uploads: they may disappear next week if Vimeo shuts down for whatever reason:
lack of capital or a buyer.

And that's the story of my Clash of the Titans. I'm five foot ten. Blake and Dalas and the other one: have two inch weinies, and know how to use 'em. Be happy but "bevarrrrre!", as Bela Lugosi might say.
"Spread the Love" says Vimeo. So I spread the Truth. They're going out of business in time.
YT will bury them. So that's a consolation for injured-me. Vimeo is struggling financially; that's why they suddenly
are charging new members. All the HD used to be free, though limited to 500 mb per week.

At YT---the video quality will be improving; some few vids they already call "HD" instead of "watch in high quality" (I can't see the difference, though).
I hope Blake and his cohorts end up doing other jobs than run Vimeo into the ground. I like Vimeo.
I also like ebike videos like Knoxie' work, in HD!
