Motenergy ME1118

Hello, I'm trying to connect a Motenergy ME1118 motor to a Kelly KLS-8080I/IPS controller. The wiring from the motor has 6 leads but the only diagram I can find online lists 7. They are listed as Sine, Cosine, Ground, 5 volts, Shield and two Temperature. I'm presuming I have only one temp wire to explain the difference. I have no idea what the "Shield" wire is about. The corresponding connector on the controller has 6 pins with a Ground, Temperature, 5 volts, Sine, Cosine and an empty slot. I've tried to include photos but am not certain the process is working.
