Hi. If I have a motor that has a hall sensor. Will it be able to work with a controller that does not have hall? Which means I just need to connect the phase wires. Because I have tried that and the wheel can't spin though it sounded like the motor is running. Thanks in advance!

Probably a geared hub motor running in reverse. Try swapping any 2 phase wires and do whatever "re-learn" the controller requires, if any.

I managed to get it to run properly now but it is actually running the reverse direction that i want it to run. and i cannot just invert the hub as only one side that has threads for my disc brake rotors. I tried using the controller to "teach" the motor to run the other direction, but it doesnt seem to work. Same thing, sound from motor, but it just does not spin the wheel. So one direction runs fine and the other just doesn't. :/

It is a geared hub motor. Does it mean it can only run in one direction?

Follow YKick's instructions to reverse the motor.

Geared motors can only turn the hub in one direction.

Oops. Didn't know that!

Can you post a picture showing both sides of the hub motor? 640x480 and less than 120kb host best on this site.

Best I can understand your disc mount is screw-on like freewheel threads and not 6 mounting screws? What side of the bike do your brake calipers mount? LH?
