Hi guys,
I'm planning my first eboard build and have been reading through lots of posts, trying to get an idea of the best way to go about doing things (it seems like a great community you've got going here by the way). I'm trying to minimise both cost and size of parts. I'm hoping to convert this 24" board I've already got and planning to use as many of the existing parts as possible: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Osprey-Stripe-Mini-Cruiser-Multicoloured/dp/B009FUN7G0/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1387130997&sr=8-7&keywords=mini+cruiser
It seems like the first decision I have to make is how to mount the motor (I think I'm going for a single mount as from what I've read this provides more than enough power/torque). All of the builds I've come across have the motor mounted directly on the trucks. I'm not able to weld this myself and so I thought it might be easier and cheaper to mount the motor directly to the deck. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work?
