So I used 2 2wd geared 250w kits from amazon, using dual controllers with single throttle. Wired the throttle by splicing all wires but the ground as per info I found on this forum (thanks). Using lead acid for now 3 12v 10ah batteries, 21ilbs (heavy), will be building a lithium pack here over the winter (I'm in NY) from 18650s maybe 15ah (will the ~41v be ok with my 36 controllers?). Self sealing tubes, comfy seat and all metal kick stand (greenfield), will be looking to do a disc brake upgrade as well. Thanks for all the info! enjoy

2WD with V-brakes seems like a good idea?

I had rear v-brake on a warrior trike I recently build running a 17" moped rim with a 6t mxus.
I did not have any issues stopping when my max speed was @ 18mph.
But since then I have upgraded to disc brakes due to increasing the top speed to 30mph.

only goes like 18mph so not anymore unsafe than a pedal bike.... I will put disc on this winter though, would like hydraulic but idk lot of $ for how much I use it. what do you think of 41v on my 36v controllers?

I think you should be fine most controller can take a few more voltage then what they are rated for.
I believe its the amps that can kill a controller.
But to be safe check the caps in your controller to see the voltage rating.
