My Elektro1 retro scooter. Motor is 2200W, battery 48V 40Ah, max speed 45 kmh, range about 80 kilometers, max weight 150 kilos.

Nice one! Any plans to modify or upgrade?

When I got it, it got four horrible led-acid-12v-batteries. So I replaced them with a new LIFEPO4 bms 40ah battery. That was like day and night change. Its range doubled to 80 km and weight was cut down with almost 50 kilos (!). Right now I cannot charge after a shortcurcuit on the 48v input, I started a post on this. Any help on this is welcomed, I'm not so good at messing with BMS.

I fixed the problem. It was not the BMS, thank god. It was the wireing only for the charging. Always check the wires first is a good advice

Hi, Im curious on your upgrade,
I just bought a scooter like yours and wish to upgrade to Litium battery pack.
Did you have any issues with upgrading yours or the controller worked fine with the new pack straight away?
