The only looks you should be concerned about is if your ebike is to flashy or not.

Keep it a single speed and you lose the benefits of a mid drive, while inheriting all the downside from stressing the drive train. For that frame, a better hub motor might be the preferred option.

There are a variety of individuals on this forum with various priorities and opinions. You have not told us your reason for getting an E-Bike so individuals may project their own preferences.Shaun8281 said:Seems to be a lot of negativity within the community so far. Reminds me of the PC gaming communities I once was a member of.

Maybe the sensitivity around negativity, vs being just accepting of facts is brought from the gaming forums? I hear kids are pretty brutal and do a lot of bullying nowadays. For me, admittedly I don't have the best bedside manner or take time to pacify people, while others are great at that. I pretty much presented the same thing everyone else is saying, including some solutions to make it work, but making the wrong purchase is a tough pill to swallow, but in the end it's your money, so time to move forward with what you got.Chalo said:It isn't negativity to point these things out to you. You need to know them, ideally before you throw money at a project you don't understand. But at the very least you should know them before you throw even more money at it.

I’m Shaun and a complete newbie to the world of Ebikes. I purchased my first ever Ebike yesterday I went for a Super73 ZG.
I plan on modding it and I have just ordered a Bafang BBSHD 1000W 52v I just need to get a battery now so will be ordering that in the next day or 2.
Im a little stuck with regards to brakes. I’m not sure what to go for I like the look of the Magura 5 eStop.
Regards
Shaun.

So I am guessing he wants an increase in top speed.
How much faster does he want to go?
P.S. The zg version of the Super 73 is a 250 watt EU version with pedal assist only (up to 15.5 mph) from the geared hub. No throttle.
Shaun8281 said:People have thrown the lack of gears at me but I didn’t think it’d be an issue as like I say the bike is staying on flat ground.

… and that’s why I’m changing from the OE 250w with no throttle or display.
It’s totally flat round here it won’t be going off road etc. I just wanted the best mid drive I could get hold of and the BBSHD seemed the right choice.
