My Tuesday beach cruiser conversion: I picked this model not just because it looks like my old Sportster, but because it has a long wheelbase, a low center of gravity, a wide open area for big batteries (keeping the crossbar for strength and stability) and could be set up right - just for me.
When long hauling I use two batteries, the main is a 35ah stacked on top of a 20ah (reserve) unit, both Chinese eBay batteries, both are going on their fourth year.
A 63-year-old dude can still pull a 65+ mile round trip on a nice afternoon and be wanting more.

That's awesome! I am a big fan of the beach cruiser with raised bars, it's the feel, one finger on one grip. I dig the long wheel base as well. I self taught my 1st build, and have 4 ebikes, 1 is a trike with DIY treadmill motor in the basket with belt to pulley on rear wheel for Mom. The others are full suspension DD rear motors 36v. I put bmx necks/bars on them, and 2 are running a 20" rear rim with a 26" front rim. I want to build a battery eventually, I beefed up wires and connectors, absolute blast! Just need bigger battery and more range! I am a decade younger! Cheers Mick

Love that honker of a battery!
Considering you're in Utah ( our roads are crappy ), have you considered getting a suspension fork?

Hi guys - thanks for the compliments 🕶️ Mick your builds sound pretty cool - I'd like to see pictures of that trike with the treadmill motor in the basket - and - how the 20-in rear tire with the 26 up front looks and handles sounds pretty interesting.
Neptronix I have considered finding a decent suspension fork I've only done a half-assed job and looking for one though. Seems the neck tube length is the biggest obstacle I don't remember the exact measurements right now but it's an oddball. I try and spend most of my long hauls on the Rio grande trail few bumps here and there but generally pretty smooth.
