My parents have a old wireless microphone ( they used to teach dance lessons ) and lost the DC power adapter a long , long time ago...

Getting a 12v source is easy, i have piles of DC supplies... but.. question is polarity.

Got it open and removed the DC plug.

I can tag a wire to each and install andersons.. but what's + and what's - ?

i googled to no avail..

typically (90% of the time, you feelin lucky?) they are center pin positive. Look for electrolytic caps and other polarized things downstream of the power connector to suss out which trace is the negative/positive.

ok.. that makes sense... that big 2200uf 25v caps in pic no1, the left side has a white stripe with -<-<-<- .. that would be negative.. right ? if so. i'm all set.

yup yup, big white stripe is the negative, looks like the center pin is the positive.

no problem. That board looks a lil big to fit in a mic
