Nanjing far driver controllers

Is there a parameter which influences the start from a standstill?
Throttle is already set to the fastest value.
You see in the acceleration chart that it takes nearly a second to reach full tourque. Measurement was done with a 10Hz GPS . The ND72680 is set to 300bA and 640pA. You also see some jitter in current near top speed. How can this be improved?

Well, whatever gives you more torque (phase current) would give quicker takeoff, assuming you're not saturating the motor stator already.

I really do not know how much is too much for the installed QS 60V 5000W 260 40H motor.
We will see when I change to the QS 273 60H 72V 10kW motor.
If the 10kw still does not accelerate faster then I will change to the ND721800 with the possibility to double the phase current
 
Just got my new build working and not impressed with low end torque. Also have some jitter off dead stop. I tried a few of the PID parameters shown in the manual but no real difference noted. Maybe I am at the limit of the battery?

QS205 5T (nbpower clone)
ND72450
72V, 20 Ah UUP battery (60 amp BMS)
26 inch rear wheel.

I have tried to change the PID settings, but I can't change them:unsure: Have you guys changed the pid settings successfully?
 
I can only change KI.
I can not change Kp with the Android App.
 
Has anyone a better description for the AN motor body characteristic?
In the manual is written for hub motors 0 and the Fardriver in the Dayi Odin has set AN 2.
If I set with the same Ki values (3 6 9) AN from 2 to 0 on my scooter with a 5kW hub motor then I get maximum speed only when I slightly close the throttle, and I have no overshooting and power ups and downs at top speed.
But acceleration from a standstill feels slower.
If I set with the same Ki to Standard values and Set AN to two, then I get overcurrent and throttle errors.
I still do not know in which direction and which parameters I have to change to get a faster start with my ND72680. It takes over a second to reach full tourque.

At the moment I'm changing over to the ND721800 and a QS72V10000W 273 motor, but the problems, where and what to change, will stay the same, even when I can raise the phase current way over 1000A.

Hey all and hello!

I'm struggling with what should be a simple issue - I'm using a Far driver ND72450 and a QS138 70 motor but I get a temp error and a hall error when powering. Temp error clears when you turn the motor but the single beep hall error persists regardless. I've checked the motor with a multimeter, halls are behaving and temp wire has 1k ohms at room temp. I also tried a different motor but same issue.

I've simplified the wiring so all I have connected is key, throttle and motor but no change. Any ideas?
 
hello everyone. My fardiver 96850 motor driver burned out. I need the value of these components. If you have it, can you send me a photo of it?

I had loose cable which was the hall effect v+ and it touched the HV and shorted, now it does not power on.

Wouldn't be surprised if every single IC failed on that board, or at least the majority of them. If it won't even power on, the main microcontroller is likely dead. Usually when you get a short like this it blows the power regulator short circuit, then you have v+ on the main power rail, which then fries everything attached to it.

Fardriver could put diodes on the hall 5v and data lines, 100v schottkys would have a negligible impact and would have saved this controller.
 
Data that I save in my Fardriver IOS app is no longer getting stored in my controller. When i restart the app the old parameters are still in effect.

I have tried login but the window says invalid cell # and when I try my email address I get responses from PMSM control.

I tried reaching mailto:lvchao@far-driver.com but get invalid address.

Does/has anyone know how to now send PID parameter updates via IOS fardriver app to the controller so that the updated values show up upon restart?

I do not try to login or register.
I click on return without writing anything and everything works as before.

Yes, I have hit “return” and gained access to change parameters for the controller, however, when I later reboot the IOS App I see the old values are still in effect. I do hit save twice when making such changes. Have you checked to see if your changes were actually stored in the controller after a cold reboot?

I am trying to change the first 3 PID values that would move my controller/motor classification from “High Power Default” to “super power motor”. So far changes to these values are not written to the controller.

Just checked, even the “Three speed parameters” are not saved when changed.

Login may get one to what they call “..to Bound” which may bind parameter changes so they appear after an App reboot?

I have saved parameters about 100 times in the last month while I was trying to get a faster start with my ND72680. Therefore I changed AN , Start Ki, Mid Ki and Max Ki.

Currently the scooter is disassembled and will be fit with a 10kW hubmotor and a ND721800 during the next weeks. It needs a few modifications to make the new parts fit.

You say “I was trying to get a faster start…. Why didn’t it work?

The point here being, did you actually check to see if you got such new PID variables into your controller’s parameters as you had thought you had changed. I do not see changes when checking my saves.

Just now i was able to change the setting “RatedVoltage” to 72 volts. After turning off both the controller and IOS App and then doing a restart I see this parameter was saved.

I then changed the PID AN setting but did find it not to be saved.

The latest Fardriver version of the IOS App may require permissions via the log-in to change PID settings? You say you did these changes a month ago?

I see this site says nanjing Fardriver. When you go to that webpage the contact people like Ivchao cannot be reached. It appears they are now called yuanqu fardriver. I have emailed info@ from their contact suggestions about new policies regarding PID changes to their controllers. Waiting for a reply.
