Hello guys, i wanted to buy a surron battery from alibaba and i came across this link. I didn't want a 72v but just a 60v 40ah. they gave me a price of $960 AUD for shipping, charger, and the battery. The store only had 15 reviews yet active for 9yrs. A good sign was that when i messaged them for a custom order they had responded to everything and it wasn't a ai chatbot. I do have alibaba trade assurance on my side if things go wary, such as full refund if item never ships, broken, or has issues, and other support. I just want to check as i dont want to get scammed/waste $900. Here is the WEBSITE: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/The-Qiulong-Surron-Light-Bee-72V30AH_1601455322246.html

MOD EDIT: Edited to remove tracking info from link.

Yes that often is a good sign. What questions were they able to answer successfully?

Alibaba/express is unfortunately somewhat of a crapshoot-- some have had good results while others not (including me). For that reason, I can never uncategorically recommend.

You're best to go for an Alibaba retailer that is well known and reputable for large batteries like this. For example, Amorge is used extensively in the emoto community and have good build quality. E.g. AMORGE 16S10P 60V 40AH 300A Lithium Battery Pack for SurRon Electric Dirt Bike

Amorge let's you know exactly what cells and BMS they are using, you can choose which cell depending on your budget, and for many of their builds they use nice big wellgo busbars for high current

Don't go with any supplier that isn't 100% clear about cells, BMS and build quality

I've personally used Amorge for a custom design 72V ebike battery so am a little bias, but it's been running well for close to 1000km now. Shipping was expensive, but only took a month to New Zealand

You'd buy from someone with a review of 1.6 stars out of 5? Keep looking...
If you purchase from Alibaba, you would know that store reviews are pretty much irrelevant for making decisions on suppliers (the same goes for Aliexpress). They require you to leave a review within 90 days of the completed transaction, which is not a truly reliable amount of time to review many products (especially batteries). The store review rating covers all products, and due to the lack of reviews stores typically receive, the overall rating is often skewed by such a small sample size.

You want to look for verified suppliers, relevant certifications, response rate, fulfillment times, and factory/warehouse tours that align with other info etc...
