Just put together a new 36v 500w motor with a new 15ah battery on a Giant bike, the sw900 display is blinking one bar and watt meter is not working. My battery is fully charged at 42v, check the panel 3 and made sure it was set to 36v, checked all the wire connections for contact, does and one else have any ideas what might be wrong.

I'm not sure about the SW900, but it's worth looking through the settings to see if it has a voltage setting because some LCDs have to be set manually. Have a look at the P03 setting. IIRC, that's the manual battery voltage setting, which is probably on 48v and should be 36v.

Some displays are automatic dual voltage. I don't know how they figure out which battery voltage you have when a fully charged 36v one is 42v and a fully discharged 48v one is 39v. If you first install your battery when it's somewhere between 39v and 42v, it must have to guess which it is and sometimes get it wrong.

The solution is to completely disconnect your LCD from the controller and disconnect your controller from the battery. Then, you need to discharge the battery to below 39v. When you reconnect, it should get it all right and remember what you have.

When I first connected I made sure the PO 3 was on 36v and everything was working, took it out for a 8 mile ride and put it on the charger. In the morning when I turned the sw900 on, the battery meter showed one bar blinking and the watt meter was no longer working. Put a older led display that I know works on it today and same thing, battery meter one light blinking with a fully charged battery, must be in the controller, but rode it 18 miles today you would think if the controller was seeing low voltage it would shut the power off.
