I purchased a bike from Evanti online (even though I was suspect of thier business after calling them and being told orders were on time, even though everyone was saying they werent on forums). I even paid $100 for expedited processing (1 week I believe) so that I would know right away if they could deliver or not. After 2 weeks and no shipping info, I e-mails and called them repeatedly (at least 3-4 e-mails and calls). Their voicemail box was busy so couldn't get through by phone. Eventually they e-mailed me back saying that they could not fullfill my order (after having my $$ for at least 4 weeks), and said I would receive a refund within 1-2 weeks (I can never understand why vendors process your payment immediately, but take several weeks to refund it...). Anyhow, after not seeing anything in my account after several weeks, I contacted my Bank (Wellls Fargo) and lodged a complaint. WF said that Evanti's bank was on the hook for the refund, and that they would eventually get the $$ back. After several months, I still have not seen it. I just went online and noticed that Evanti.com no longer exists (at least the website is down). So I assume they closed down and took my $$ with them. Lesson learned about online purchases. Post-note: I purchased a 48V Pedago cruiser (with ballon tires) and LOVE IT! Even at the expensive price of About $2200, it is an amazing bike and even pulls me up the steep hill in front of my house with minimal pedal assist. I would recommend them to any e-Bike enthusiast (although it is NOT a mountain bike).
