new to e-bikes

the idea is to have a rear hub motor with disc brake on the bike, batteries and electronic on the sidecar. i would do somekind of small sidecar(just enough to hold electronic) and make this one tilt when you tilt the bike to have less influence on the handling of the bike. i though of a trailer but the bike is already very long!

Bernard,

sorry to be late on this topic, but I must say, your bike looks extremely easy to install a mid drive e-assist. Especially if you go mandatory pedalling, that would be a really easy install. A 500w cyclone would be easy, would be pretty fast, and really nice to your batteries with the adjustable gear ratios.

I know you said hub motor, but , this would be one of the easier installs, and one i am sure would not frustrate a first timer.

And, now, there are even more choices of other mid-drives.

just thoughts

I though about it.
what i'm trying to acheive is the cleanest look possible while electrifying the bike..that why a hub motor would be great...mid drive is not out of the question yet. i'm also looking toward the used e-bike i can find for cheap around here. i'm thinking that salvaging parts of a complete bike and adapt it to my bike would be a good way to learn and experiment for a good price.

thanks for the comments.
