Trolling the web, but can't find the exact ratios for the N360 Hub.
I know it's stepless, but need the correct min and max ratio to calculate the sprocket and chainring I would need.

Also, what is the biggest sprocket you can fit on the nuvinci itself?

Would use a cyclone 1200W to drive this directly (no crank arms or pedals), so gearing this right is essential.

Might also go for a Alfine 11 speed, as it has a higher range (360% for nuvinci, 409% for the shimano)
However, Nuvinci is stepless, and seems to me better suited for e-bike use (especially high torque, as I don't care about top speed, but ride on trails you couldn't walk on).

Allright,

should have searched further...

If anyone wants to know:

Ratio is from 0.5 to 1.8,
sprockets go from 16t to 22t.

It's not in the linked document, but I read recently you can't run this thing with a 1/4" chain - it has to be 3/32"

I have an n171 with a 90 tooth #25 sprocket on it, powered directly by a 1000w currie scooter motor. http://endless-sphere.com/forums/download/file.php?id=92982&mode=view pic shows the wrong side  the n360 mounts the sprockets differently though. Maybe an n171 will work better for your purposes, I think the developers kits are still available, if not the manual shift one can be found on Craigslist. I think they is one or 2 for sale on here also.

Hmm, interesting. Any more info on that? Where did you source the sprocket? N171 requires threaded cogs, right? Any complaints about it handling the torque?

Also: better pic?

More pics of wildharemtbkr's NuVinci are here: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=44338

If I recall correctly the N360's max torque handling capability is 140 newton meters, but I don't recall the source for that info.

I'll be patiently waiting for them to increase their ratio from the 360% to the 500+%. Or maybe just install a bottom bracket speed hub to go with it. Hmmm...

Both my e-bikes use NuVinci N360 in the rear and Schumpf (the A-Line) or ATS (the Dahon folder) to increase the gear ratio. I have a very wide ratio, from the ultimate granny gear to still adding meaningful pedal power @ 30mph.

171 can also be dound on Cyclone...good prices

Sorry it's hard to get a good view of it. It is just a thread on scooter sprocket, threaded to the nuvinci adapter, I bought it all set up this way.

Yep i've got cyclone 360 Nuvinci, has 16 teeth at the hub can be put no lower than 14 as directions ;My 36v960w drives to a 52 & peddal with 48 teeth crank
this to get higher revs where the power is. Still slower than if with a 11 at hub & 52 at crank.(pedaling). This is the 650-1200w motor still realy great depending on how long it will last though.
