Old Norco VPS-1 build - with front rack

Here is my latest build. It's an old Norco VPS-1 from 1999 or 2000. Upgraded everything. Bout bike up from bare frame. Matzo hi bombers, avid juicy brakes, 52T single speed chain wheel, 7 speed cassette. Schwalbe big apples 2.00 on front and 2.35 on back, will change front to wider 2.35 soon. Special rido anatomic seat. I was going to do a front battery mount like oatnet and have found a freeload rack that will do the job once I shorten the supports and level it out. Here is my pictures so far and any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks to all the members here who have given me the knowledge to do these things free of charge. I have never been a part of such a community. Special thanks to knoxie for sending me some bits and bobs that I could t get my hands on. Free of charge I might add.
Thanks guys.

That frame setup has loads of potential as an ebike. I'm a bit jealous. The front rack is what makes it cool plus there is room for some lipo on the frame too. It should distribute the weight really well and it has full suspension. I would add a fat ass seat for my rear......lol.

Thanks, I like the flat sided shape of the frame, will probably be easier to make some sort of battery pack and mount them going flat along the side of the frame. Just now I have a ping 48volt 20amp which will be getting mounted on the front rack when my battery box arrives. I will mount the lipo on the frame later I think maybe 10 or 15amps for shorter trips and put on the bigger ping batter when I do my occasional commute of 60miles round trip, charge when I get to work of course. It is a work in progress and still a few things to do before its finished but hopefully be finished next week sometime :) can't wait to get out my car, got a £30 parking fine the other day and it's will be great to be on the bike, shunning my car and all the hassle and cost that goes with it

Put the batteries on the upper part of the fork fitted to the top crown, add some on the frame if you wish but keep them on the suspended part of the bike. Then, sit the GF on that front rack and give her a ride in the mountain.

Lol, indeed the bounce on that suspension would be interesting
