Hi, can anyone help me getting me a Mivice Controller + Display for M080 and S201 Torque Sensor with open speed limit? 9 Amps, 36V? I have currently a locked one. Can i transfer the cable tree to the new controller?

Have you tried contacting MIVICE?

Sure, they don't give support to end-users.
Is your controller one of the ones offered on their website? Is so, which model?
If you are thinking about swapping out the controller for another mode/brand, then getting more info on the functions your stock controller supports (throttle, torque sensing PAS, display, etc.), as well as what the "cable tree" looks like and how it breaks out to connect to other components. You will need a multimeter to check continuity so you can connect to the new controller. You will also likely need a soldering iron or crimpers since you will likely need to swap out the "cable tree" in order to interface your existing components with the new controller. It may be difficult finding a controller compatible with your existing torque sensor, so knowing the exact model of the stock one will be needed at some point.

This is my current Controller C201. I hope all those look the same inside so i can swap the wiring harness.

Looking at their website, I'm not sure you can buy their components separately since they are an OEM for ebike companies. Components like their mid drive are definitely not for DIY applications since you need to build a frame to accept it. It looks like they can program the controller to a buyer's specs for speeds other than the stock 25 km/h, but you might need to buy a bunch of them.

Their news page shows several bike models that use their components. Are any of them the model you own?

Who do you mean by "them"? I have a bike that has some components of MiVice, but not the display. The display is from King-Meter.

(Attention, it's german)

My problem is the e-bike vendor is extremly uncooperative sending me a controller. Especially one from their older generations where speed-limit was adjustible. So i look out for a solution to use an alternative controller.

I found a lot of vendors where i can but that Controller C201 but they all seem to be a special build. Some of them are UART, some CAN. All of them have differend cables for lights. Maybe they have different voltages too.

So i am currently wondering if i am at a dead end if the vendor is not willing to send me a new controller or is there some other solution? I found an italian guy on Ebay who sells a complete set Mivice Motor, Display, Controller, Torque and i am wondering where he got all that stuff as an end-user...!?

Unfortunate. Might be easier to buy a bike that does what you want it to do, or build one.

So dead-end?
Finding an answer on this forum, given that it heavily leans toward DIY e-bikes, and the controller is customized for factory e-bikes, it may be a dead end. There is one thread from 2022 mentioning your controller, that received no responses.

While Mivice products are built into many bicycles, they haven't been extensively reviewed yet, it seems.

I followed that link to the German forum. Seems by using the ST link your controller came to live and error 30 was gone? So something is wrong with the 3.3V power delivery. Because when you used the 3.3V from the ST link? to power the 3.3V line on the board it started working.
That should normally be fixable and if you can't do it yourself maybe you can ask on the pedelec forum if someone with knowledge regarding electronics is willing to take a look at it.

Thank you for researching my problem. Yeah for someone who can solder small components probably no problem. But i can't do it so am searching for alternatives. I'm really frustrated my bike vendor won't send me a controller.

Still sitting here with my problem. Can VESC replace a MiVice controller?
In all likelyhood, yes.

What kind of budget do you have to spend on a controller?

At the higher end there is;
vesclabs.com This is Benjamin Vedder's(founder of VESC) company, they make very high quality controllers for a reasonable price. (based in Sweden I think)

teamtriforceuk.com Euan primarily makes super compact very high quality controllers aimed at the battlebots market, but there is no reason you can not use them with any motor. (based in the UK I think)

At the lower end there is;
spintend.com They make decent quality controllers for budget prices. (based in china I think)

And many others.

Being that you are in Germany, you are probably looking for a 250watt cadence or torque sensor pedalec class controller, no throttle?

Vesc will definitely run your motor, but it is a little more effort to integrate a torque or cadence sensor, @stancecoke has more experience than I do, I have only used throttles on my Vesc bikes.

I pay anything just to get an open version of that controller. It just has to run all peripherals: Mivice Motor, Mivice Torque, Display (can be any Display from King-Meter to whatever).

No throttle please. I will ask VESC support if they can clone the controller.

The speed sensor seems to be inside the hub, not removable. And beside this, i want speed to be visible in my display.

:ROFLMAO: The VESC community is absolutely not interested in EBike applications. You will get the answer: write a LISP script for your individual functions...

I guess it would be quite easy to port the EBiCS firmware to the Mivice hardware, as all this STM32F103 based controllers are quite similar.

Maybe the Bafang CRA101 will work with the Mivice torquesensor out of the box. Or at least with the existing EBiCS port.

Hey folks,

Speaking of this work - I've recently bought an Estarli 28.9 and am interested in sniffing/working out the display <-> controller protocol. However the bike has a signal connector type I can't find online. It's 6mm diameter and 5-pin. I attach a pic of the female end - does anyone know what this is (I can't find it in either the Higo or the Julet catalogues)?1781083988102.png
