What control and power module do you want to separate?
If you are building your own controller, it would be much easier to incorporate the opto lsolater on the board yourself. I have never seen a reason to use a device like that with an off the shelf controller. If you have a reason for isolating the hall sensors from the controller, or any other digital signal, that module will work, and is really cheap. This won't work for isolating a throttle signal, since as as far as I know all throttles send an analog (0-5V) signal and not a PWM or other digital signal back to the controller, and I am pretty sure that opto-isolator is digital only.
