Patient is a real 89 year old male. Physically in good condition. He walks and eats no problem. He can not find his way home from 200 feet from his house. Lives with 82 year old wife who prepares his food. Both of them are receiving no professional medical care.

89 year old guy had a pacemaker implanted in 2002

Does this pacemaker require any maintenance? Battery replacement? What happens if I do nothing?

History:
Mr Senile was a happy friendly pharmacist who owned his own drug store building. He is still the same old happy friendly guy in a slightly senile sort of way. Mrs Nasty has always been nasty. They lived in a million dollar house in British Columbia. For you who don't know whats where in North America? British Columbia is over at the left end of Canada over by Justin_le. I live in Buffalo New York USA, on the border of the USA and Canada. Below Ontario Canada. Second last lake on the right.

Thinks have gone from bad to worse with Mr Senile and Mrs Nasty. Now they are living in one of my $500 a month apartments. I should have my head examined because I let them move in with only a promise of payment.

Mrs Nasty owns a 3 family income property in my neighborhood. I have never seen the house other then Google maps. I was told that a few years ago she hired a contractor to make some major repairs to the house. Lets give the contractor a name. We will call him Mr Contractor. Mrs Nasty has become very friendly with Mr Contractor. He has been taking care of the old couple. He takes them to the supermarket to buy food. He gave them a dumpy apartment and then evicted them for non-payment of rent. Mr Contractor is driving around in Mrs Nasty's car with Canadian plates.

Does this sound a little fishy? Mr Contractor tells me that he is power of attorney for Mr Senile and Mrs Nasty. He is paying for Mrs Nasty's lawyer and taking them to court over the 3 family house because he is owed money. Mr Contractor tells me that house is now in foreclosure. I did some snooping around at http://www2.erie.gov/clerk/ See that Mrs Nasty got a Home Equity loan last September. Home equity loan, short sale then foreclosure 3 months latter? My guess is that Mrs Nasty is being scammed. Short sale is when a house is sold for less then what is owed on it. Seller is then responsible for paying lien deficiency's.

To let it be known. Mrs Nasty has been making bad investments for as long as I can remember. $300,000 to build a power plant in Sri Lanka, $400,000 to build a office building that never got built. Return on these two investments was $0. Suspect that there have been more "investments" that I don't know about. How much money does Mrs Nasty have at this point? All I can see is 3 - $20 dollar bills in her purse. Sad thing is that she is so cheap that she won't get her senile husband's beard trimmed, hair cut, fingernails or toe nails cut. I have been taking him to the barber and finger / toe nail place. I just had a idea! Chinese girl and Italian barber share the same shop. Do hair, beard, finger, and toenails all at the same time.

Now back to the pacemaker and health care. I know a problem when I see one. Fort Erie is a nice little town right over the bridge in Canada. I have suggested to Mrs Nasty that she seek some help from the government in Canada because she and her husband are Canadians. I am trying to get the ball rolling by filling out a on-line form for Ontario Social Services in Canada. Mrs Nasty says she will not fill out forms without permission from Mr Contractor. Of course Mr Contractor says it is OK to fill out forms but nothing is happening.

Yes a real lawyer has been contacted. He called me and asked for suggestions as to what to do. I suggested that we all go to a restaurant for dinner. Had a nice dinner, but Mrs Nasty would not talk to the real lawyer about legal stuff.

No helpfully suggestions I'm afraid. In my experience if they can walk and talk most medical or psychiatric authorities would deem them competent and until a person is clinically declared incompetent then POA is worthless. The same authorities will probably be reluctant to act even if they wanted to gift their life savings to a Nigerian prince on the basis that if the risk was explained to them and they still wouldnt listen to advice then this would be their human right. There is obviously a circular argument here! Things might well be different on your side of the Atlantic but over here it is unbelievably hard to protect the vulnerable from (essentially) themselves.

Idea? I tell Mrs Nasty that I am very concerned about Mr Senile and I want to make a appointment with a cardiologist for a pacemaker check. Shop around and find a doctor who takes cash. I am guessing that this will cost about $200?

I imagine the wires are connected to a computer machine that spits a paper out or sends a email to a different doctor. Get my hands on a pacemaker report paper and give it to Mr Nasty. I don't know what this paper looks like but I am real good at forgery and changing graphics and words. Explain to her that Mr Senile's pacemaker battery is dangerously low and must be replaced immediately. Tell Mrs Nasty that if she don't pull her head out of her ass and get over to Canada for free health care, her husband will be as dead as the battery in her cell phone.

call the district attorney and explain that the contractor has taken power of attorney. ask him to investigate because he is using the wifes vehicle and filed claims on her property which all violate legal ethics if he has power of attorney. he will be put in jail immediately.

Went downtown to the County Hall yesterday. Printed copies of everything to do with Mrs Nastys 3 family income property in my neighborhood.

My earlier comments about a home equity loan were wrong. After looking at the papers it is a discharge.

If my suspensions are correct, turns out that just about everything Mr Contractor told me is a lie. House is not in foreclosure. Mortgage is all paid. I suspect that the all important court date at the end of this month is when Mrs Nasty signs over her house to Mr Contractor.

Before you all get all mad at Mr Contractor for possibly taking advantage of old people, keep this in mind. Mrs Nasty told me that her trip to the USA has been a nightmare. Mr Contractor is the only person in North America who has been nice to the nasty old bitch. Over the past 2 years he has done more then any one else has. He has provided the old folks with food, clothing, shelter and friendship. Should he be rewarded with a $80,000 house that has a $2000 tax bill? With tricky lawyers I think this is all legal.

Yesterday I told Mrs Nasty the good news that there is no foreclosure and she only owes a $2000 tax bill and probably a little more for water. She said that would not look at the papers without Mr Contractor present. Mr Contractor out weighs me by about 50 pounds and he is way better at lying then I am. He has been calling and testing me. I have not called him back.

I have contacted a lawyer and the police to look deeper into this.

Lets not forget about the pacemaker battery. I will call doctors in Fort Erie and make a appointment for Mr Senile. A 10 year old battery in a pacemaker is like the battery in a old truck. Some cold morning it might not start. Waiting for a bunch of lawyers to get some old folks to a home in Canada so Mr Senile can see a doctor is stupid. 20 minute ride over the bridge and Mr Senile is at the doctor.

Mr Senile went to a doctor in Buffalo NY yesterday for a pacemaker battery check. Today he will have surgery to replace the battery.

Prudence! Good word Mr Moose. Thanks for the wise suggestion. Happy to say Mr Senile is doing great. He is a happy dude and his heart must be ticking fine. Got nothing but good things to say about health care in the USA. Hospital did a $24,000 job with almost no chance of getting paid. I scanned Mr Senile's Canadian health cards and emailed them to the billing girl at the hospital. Yea $24,000 for a battery the size of a quarter. And you thought that bicycle batteries were expensive.

My suspicions about the all important court date with Mrs Nasty and Mr Contractor have come true. She sold her $80,000 house for $1. There was no court. Just Mrs Nasty, Mr Contractor, and a Notary guy in a bank. 1 page deed. Now the poop has hit the fan. A few months after the sale Mr Contractor now needs $600 to return a security deposit. I suspect that Mr Contractor has a drug problem and the drug is not alcohol.

A accountant and lawyer have been hired to untangle Mrs Nasty's mess. It should also be noted that it took 2 girls about 2 hours to untangle Mrs Nasty's hair. They picked at it with Big Negro Combs and pulled about half of it out. Then they washed it 5 times and cut it. Mrs Nasty paid and gave NO tip I gave them $10.

When Mr Contractor was paying the rent I got a big handful of $20s and $5s right after the first day of the month. Now that a accountant has been hired I got nothing. Going on the second month now. Rent, Utilitys, and food add up to about $1000 per month. Accountant has not been able to access Mrs Nasty's bank account because she did not call a phone number. I am hoping that he gets this figured out soon so I get some $$$$.

I suspect that Mrs Nasty has a mental problem. Or a brain tumor or other physical problem? One of many examples. As reported by my wife.... Mrs Nasty and my wife are in BJs looking to buy some cookies for Mr Senile & Mr Mrs Nasty. My wife points to some cookies and asks Mrs Nasty if she might like this type of cookies? In the most Nasty Angry voice Mrs Nasty yells - I DON'T LIKE THOSE COOKIES! She is a 82 year old person with the mind of a lying, scumbag, asshole, 4 year old. No more taking Mrs Nasty to restaurants or public places. To let it be known - My wife is the nicest person on this planet. I am lucky to live with her.

Mr Senile and Mrs Nasty really need to get some regular scheduled health care. I am going to start a new topic called Immigration Questions? How to get them over the bridge to a doctor in Fort Erie? Fort Erie is a nice little town right over the bridge in Canada.

Story gets much worse. First lawyer was fired and a second lawyer was hired. After getting deeper into Mrs Nasty's bank records it looks like she gave 1 to 2 million to Mr Contractor. There are criminal and civil court cases going on. Looks like Mr Contractor cleaned out Mrs Nasty pretty good. He took her house, car and money. All she is left with is a loan, 2 suitcases of dirty clothing, and what she gets from the government every month.

Story gets much, much, much, worse. Mrs Nasty killed Mr Senile. Now that this has become a news story, I again ask for privacy reasons that nobody's names get written here on the internet. Everybody including myself is sad. I never saw any sign of violence between Mrs Nasty and Mr Senile. No one told me of seeing Mrs Nasty and Mr Senile fighting in any way. To me it looked like she would prepare his food and sit next to him on the couch like 2 teenagers in love. She would get slightly annoyed when Mr Senile would repeatedly say “I love you” and “Your special”. Killing Mr Senile was like killing a baby. I should add.... The most well behaved senile old guy I have ever meet.

Tuesday I left the house to go get a gallon of milk. Outside a reporter from the newspaper arrived at the same time. Without knowing any better I talked to him. WHAT THE NEWSPAPER WROTE IS NOT WHAT I SAID! While I was talking to newspaper guy a channel 2 TV girl arrived. I asked that she not take any pictures of me. When the second TV station arrived I ended the interview. As I was leaving in my car the channel 4 guy took my picture with his phone. Now I know how movie stars feel about the media. Talking was definitively a mistake. Live and learn. I apologize.

What happened? Here's the truth. Wife and I went to Ohio for a fun visit to my mother. Four days from Friday to Monday. Received a call from a member of Mr Senile's family Sunday 07/06/2014 9:46 PM INCOMING.

Note on telephone data – The police were very interested in who called who and when. I was happy to share this information by looking at the call history in my phone. Now I see all this data on the internet when I sign into my cell phone account. Cell phone tip – don't lie to whoever you are talking to when they say where are you? If they have access to this data. I see a Call Origin column. The phone company knows where you are. Note to the telephone companies - please don't share this data with the government or anyone else.

Continue with the story. Received a call from a member of Mr Senile's family Sunday 07/06/2014 9:46 PM INCOMING. Mrs Nasty has been calling the Accountant who is also her Power Of Attorney or POA. Subjects of calls were that she can't find Mr Senile, Mr Senile is having dementia, Mr Senile is lying on the floor. Accountant was concerned and called the family member.

Note about the POA Accountant. If anyone deserves a star in this whole situation it is him. The poor guy went to school to learn about numbers and now look what he is involved in. Mr Contractor used to be like Mrs Nasty's guardian. Now the Accountant has taken his place. He has spent a outrageous amount of time and effort in this whole situation. Hope and pray that he gets paid. I would like to say THANKYOU!

Next call was 9:48 PM from me to the downstairs neighbor asking him to check on Mrs Nasty and Mr Senile who live upstairs. He put his phone on speaker phone and went upstairs. I could not hear what was said between him and Mrs Nasty.

Next call was 9:55 PM from family member telling me that he talked to Mrs Nasty and all is fine. The only problem is that Mr Senile does not want to eat dinner.

Next call was 9:57 PM from downstairs neighbor telling me that he did not want to talk in front of Mrs Nasty and that he was now outside. Mrs Nasty had blood on her clothing. I told him that I would call 911 and the family member who lives about 20 minutes away.

Next call was from me to 911. Note on calling 911 from 3 states away. Might have been faster to look up the police number with Google or a paper phone book. 911 guy transferred the call to the local police before I was able to complete my Google search. Time of 911 call is not listed in my call data list.

Next call was 10:00 PM from me to Mr Senile's family member telling him to go to Mrs Nasty and Mr Senile's house.

Next call was 10:15 PM from downstairs neighbor. Don't remember what was said?

Next call was 10:23 PM from family member telling me that Mr Senile is dead. He saw him lying right inside the door with a puddle of blood around his head. He said that he saw a broken chair. Police told him that this is a crime scene and he has to leave.

Other calls were other people asking and telling what was happening. What I wrote that was said in each call is what I believe to be correct. It is possible that I am not remembering correctly?

Got back in town Monday night and went to the police station to tell what I know. Cop wrote it down and I signed the paper.

** ****** was found on the floor, where he had been lying dead for several hours.

An autopsy determined ** ****** died from trauma due to blunt force blows to his head.

I was told that the police put Mrs Nasty in a hotel on Monday and she was having a great time. The police were bringing food and she was calling people from the hotel. She even called the family member to tell him what type of funeral Mr Senile might like. I thought it was extremely disturbing that the police would put a murder in a hotel with no one watching her? I asked the police if this was true? Police man didn’t seem to proud of this and explained that they put her in the hotel while they figured out the paperwork. He said that she was now in a jail, psychiatric ward. I told the police that I was very concerned that if they put her in a hotel what was there to stop them from bringing her back to my apartment. I asked if I should do a formal eviction. [I do these all the time] Police man said I should not worry about her coming back. I also asked how to have someone served with eviction papers if they are in jail? Police did not know the answer.

Story is over and I am sad. I don't plan on going to Mrs Nasty's court cases. I have decided to never to see or speak to her till the end of time. Mr Senile's funeral was yesterday. Beautiful weather here.

Guessing they were married for about 60+ years. Mr Senile married Mrs Nasty twice. They were divorced for a short time a long time ago.

Unexpected is what this murder is. I know people who are not 100% mentally and I would never dream of them killing a old person or a baby. Advise for others. GET HELP. That is why God made telephones.

Update - Apartment clean up has started. The police cleaned most of the blood. Hardwood floors are damaged from whatever they used to clean up the blood. Water? They missed the top of the toilet seat because it was up. Mr Senile died in a puddle of blood right inside the door. All in all Mr Senile and Mrs Nasty were excellent tenants. Apartment needs a good cleaning but is not overly dirty. Laundry is what they could have used more of. Wife and I would repeatedly say "Get your laundry together and my wife will wash it." Note on my wife - She is not a Indian but if she was we would call her Chief Running Water. If she is not washing the dishes she is doing laundry.

I sorted all of Mr Senile's and Mrs Nasty's possessions. Clothing, blankets, towels, sheets, suitcases are being picked up by the garbage men as I type. Upholstered furniture mostly from the last tenant is also in the trash. Papers are in a box. Sorted bank stuff and receipts for the Accountant POA. Found receipts from Mr Contractor selling jewelery to a local jewelry shop. Pictures are in a box. Cash and jewelery are in a box and stored in a safe place. Cash is less then $100. Will inventory cash and jewelery when I get some time.

Anyone want to rent a apartment?

Story is not all bad. One example - Mrs Nasty called to report her kitchen faucet was leaking. Note to tenants.... Water can cause damage, please report all leaks immediately. I went over to look. American Standard single handle faucet serious leak at handle when water is on. I wrapped a rag around faucet to divert water into sink. Ordered new parts from American Standard. Lifetime warranty on faucets. Thanks American Standard. Parts came. Over my lifetime I have done many repairs to many houses. I have rated all my customers on cooperation, behavior, helpfulness. Mrs Nasty gets a A+. Mr Senile can't remember how to unbuckle his pants to take a pee but I give him a A for effort.

Story continues.... I dump a bunch of allen keys of the dining room table and ask Mrs Nasty to sort them little to big. Before she is done sorting I find the correct allen key to get the handle off the faucet. I tell Mrs Nasty to stop sorting but she is having too much fun and does a perfect allen key sorting job. Mrs Nasty does not get in my way and continues to be extremity helpful. She willingly gives me rags and whatever I ask for. Successful operation and faucet now works great. Any plumbers here? I be happy to share the faucet autopsy results as to what went wrong with the old cartridge. Mrs Nasty helped me carry my tools back to the truck. Mr Senile watched the whole operation like a happy camper. At 82 Mrs Nasty could have gotten a job as a plumbers assistant. When I turn the lights on so I can see what I am doing, Mrs Nasty does not turn them off. People I know electricity is expensive but when I come into your houses to fix stuff PLEASE leave the lights on. I am not familiar with your house and I don't know where all the light switches are. If you are paying me by the hour? you are wasting your money as I wander around wondering why the lights are off and I can't see what I am doing.

Mrs Nasty got a letter in the mail today. The mailman has been putting her mail in my box and I have been mailing it to the Accountant - Power of attorney (POA)

THE GRAND JURY OF THE COUNTY OF ERIE, by this indictment, accuses
MRS NASTY of the following crime:
FIRST COUNT: MANSLAUGHTER IN THE FIRST DEGREE, in violation of Penal
Law§ 125.20(1), in that she, the said MRS NASTY, on or about the 6th day ofJuly, 2014, in this
County, with intent to cause serious physical injury to MR SENILE, caused the death of
MR SENILE by beating him.

As far as I am concerned Mrs Nasty killed Mr Senile because she is a nasty bad person. I feel that she should spend the rest of her life somewhere where the door is locked.

I will not be going to the court.
