Panasonic vs Samsung cell pack

i guess what would be really interesting would to get a temperature graph along with a voltage one on a 5A discharge i think the cell heats up a lot more when you run to a lower lvc as the internal resistance goes up exponentially.

Yep and the more you heat these the more the cycle life goes down.

I don't have a graph. I measured the temp every 3 mins manually. In my 2C discharge test (described above), the temp rose to its terminal value of 160F after 10 mins and remained constant til the end. Worth repeating: This was a single cell test so the cell was completely surrounded by much cooler ambient air.

You are right, cells IR grows near to LVC but on other hand temperature raise lowers IR, that why they usually stabilize somewhere before thermal runaway. Right, graph comparison would be interesting.
