PAS not working

I have an ebike long 1200w kit. Throttle works but the PAS never starts. I have it set to throttle and pas in the settings and the pas sensor is very close to the magnets. Do I have a bad sensor? I just installed the kit yesterday

If it's the kind of pas with a magnet ring on the cranks, could it be on backwards? Sometimes the arrow on the ring will be pointing the wrong way...

Nvm figured it out. The pas plate was on backwards.
